Sailing the High Seas on Queen Mary 2

We were in the departure lounge at Southampton Port with our fingers crossed that we would have a negative test from the lateral flow we had to do in the car park. There had been so many changes to travel announced by various governments in the run up to our trip, and we were justifiably nervous. Eventually the text came through telling us we were both negative. We were invited to check in, go through customs and finally we were on board.

High Heels and Walking Boots

Our small group of four travelled by train from Madrid to Soria and began our voyage in Barbadelo.  Although this may sound quite an intrepid trip, we had booked through a specialist firm.  As such they provided us with an itinerary outlining exactly how far we would walk each day, and gave us detailed notes on the daily route.

Hamilton Island

My husband and I had planned a trip to Australia in the year before lockdown to visit friends in both Sydney and Melbourne.  We wanted to tag on a few days relaxing at one of the resorts in the Whitsundays.  We chose Hamilton Island as it is a place of sun, sand, the bluest sea as well as incredible nature and wildlife.
